If you have happened to drive past the school after lunch lately, you may have notice that we have all gone a bit skipping mad.  Usually we are training for cross-country after lunch but last Thursday I thought we might change it up and try some skipping for fitness.

Now I am sad to say that there is no way I can keep up with the Pukeokahu School children when it comes to cross-country but skipping however, that’s another matter!  We have been trying to skip non-stop for fifteen minutes, and I am definitely beating the lot of them woohoo! (a small victory, but one I will live up for as long as possible because unfortunately Abbey is beginning to gain on me

I have put a video, on the school website, of Jump Rope Jill.  Jill is a Canadian athlete who was last year’s Jump Rope Competition Champion.  She has some very cool moves, that are unbelievably fast!  So fast in-fact that I had to slow down the video in order to see them.  So stop in and take a look, the kids and I are getting better everyday, it might be a fun to see a few of the Mums and Dads giving the kids a run for their money

Join in with our current project or bring your own, all are welcome and we look forward to seeing you there.  Here’s a photo of Tina and her three christmas stockings, a super effort! (sorry TIna, Heather made me do it!)

We need referees to help out on the day in either Rugby, Netball or Soccor.  We will make sure that you are refereeing your own child’s games.  Please contact Marama as soon as possible if you are able to lend a hand.  Thank you

Sunday 19th September – Friday 24th September  We have a full camp meeting for all attending camp on Tuesday 14th September at 2.30pm.  It would be great if we could all be there so that everyone gets the same messages.

As we are leaving on a Sunday (which is counted as a school day) therefore school will be closed on the Friday 17th September before camp.  This is to allow Carol and I to make all final preparations before we depart.

Food donations – if you are interested in donating any food like meat, vegetables etc to help keep our camp costs down please contact Coke or myself so that we can begin organising our shopping list.  Thank you
