From Marama

I was so excited on Monday; being veterans of the hills, you guys are probably unimpressed by a dusting of snow here and there.  However, as a ‘newby’, I was most impressed by our snowfall (I even asked Carol to take a photo of me standing in it … what a tourist!).
I must admit that I felt a bit greenhorn, when one of the kids stated that they didn’t like it when it snowed because the power goes out!  I am sooo not looking forward to that happening, I have visions of cooking my dinner outside on the BBQ, with snowflakes falling on my steak!

All welcome to join the Hall Committee for their AGM on Thursday 1st of July  7.30pm at Rob and Mark Bryant’s.

End of Term Presentation Afternoon – Wednesday 30 June

The students of Pukeokahu School would like to invite you all to their slideshow presentation afternoon.  The kids have been very busy working on and improving their slideshows to present to you.  It will be a very informal afternoon, beginning at 1.30pm.  The purpose of this afternoon, is to give the students the experience of speaking to an audience in a supportive environment.  Public speaking can be a very scary thing to do, but with practise it can also be a wonderfully powerful experience.  By Pet Day, the Pukeokahu kids will be able to give old John Key a run for his money when it come to speaking to an audience.

We will be having a welcome for Amanda at Kaiangaroa and a farewell for Sue Pye.  This will be held at Tina’s place at 7.30pm.  If you have any queries please phone Tina on 388 1787.
